|   About Steamer Clams!Your seafood is best-enjoyed day of delivery. We take special measures to ensure a safe journey to your doorstep, but sometimes our packages are jostled, mishandled, or even damaged by our shippers. Should your package arrive damaged, please call our Customer Service immediately. We insure every order, so we ask you to snap a picture and send it to us so that we may file the claim.
From time to time, depending upon the shipping location and/or during the late spring/summer season, the steamers may begin to open. Should this happen, please put the steamers into salt water and place in the refrigerator until time to cook them and they should start to close. The only exception to this is if there is a very, very strong odor, please call our Customer Service. Otherwise, our steamers are very, very fresh and have a strong shelf life. Steamers should be cooked, then only after cooking the steamers, if they have a very, strong, foul odor, please call our Customer Service number.
